Mr.Thomas Tucker
Associate Professor
School of Visual Arts SOVA
BIO
I am a visual artist whose practice uses emerging technologies to make invisible or immaterial subjects visible. My work represents unseeable forces, structures, geometries, and histories through projects that span virtual spatial environments, scientific and historical visualizations, and dynamic interactive artworks. Rooted in transdisciplinary collaboration across art, technology, the humanities, and the sciences, my research integrates creative methodologies into diverse fields of inquiry, offering new ways to visualize what cannot be produced in a typical laboratory or academic setting. As Creative Director, I lead pioneering projects that serve as models for integrating art, creative technology, and visualization into varied research methodologies. These partnerships also directly inform my teaching, offering students hands-on experience in collaborative research environments that expand their creative and professional capacities.
