William Galloway has been a member of the faculty in the Architecture program at Virginia Tech since 1988. He has received the College’s University Certificate of Teaching Excellence twice (1995 & 2005), the School’s J. Stoeckel Design Lab Teaching Excellence Award twice (2015 & 2021), and the School's Ut Prosim Exemplary Service Award twice (2018 & 2023). He has been involved in multiple design research projects, including the design and construction of the college’s Research + Demonstration Facility (with Profs. Jack Davis and Bob Schubert), 1987-1994. From 1998 to 2003, he chaired the Graduate Architecture Program, and he served as the Director of the School of Architecture + Design from 2011 to 2014. Along with Patrick Doan and Frank Weiner, in 2016 he received the Design-Build Award from the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ACSA) for the c u b e project at the Research + Demonstration Facility.
