BIO

Del Pozo-Valdivia is an applied insect ecologist with Extension responsibilities who supports the development of integrated pest management programs for ornamental plants and turfgrass systems. His research focuses on generating knowledge of the biology, natural history, and ecology of emerging and invasive pests through laboratory, greenhouse, and field studies, while addressing pest management challenges identified by growers. He also investigates the use of emerging technologies, including automated monitoring traps and drone-based remote sensing, to provide additional data for informed pest management decision-making.
