Mathieu Joerger

BIO
Dr. Joerger, is an associate professor at Virginia Tech and the associate Director of the U.S. D.O.T. University Transportation Center: CARNATIONS, the Center for Assured and Resilient Navigation in Advanced Transportation Systems. He holds a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology. He received the ION's Parkinson Award in 2009, Early Achievement Award in 2014, Burka Award and Thurlow Award in 2022, and the NSF CAREER Award in 2026. He currently serves as the editor-in-chief of NAVIGATION: Journal of the Institute of Navigation.
